Prof. Mukhi
mocked the Food Security Bill which according to the Chief Minister promises
cheap grains to 70-80 lakh Delhi
citizens “This has been just an announcement and nothing more than that has
happened on the ground. The coverage
under the provision is limited to just 1-2 lakh from among the people already
covered under Antyodaya and BPL card holders .The Chief Minister had boasted of
a coverage for 70-80 lakh people . “
Prof Mukhi
warned the people of Delhi
against such bogus announcements that are being made just prior to elections.
“Chief Minister Delhi is in the habit of misleading the people of Delhi by making tall and
false promises. Sometimes it is the promise of regularizing unauthorized
colonies while at some other occasion it is holding promises of pucca houses or
free food grains. These promises are never followed up by any action on the
ground leading to a long list of unsolved problems in the capital city.
“The people
of Delhi can
now see through these misleading propaganda and promises. They know the
difference between what the Congress government promises and how little of that
is really made available once the elections are over.”
Prof. Mukhi continued, “People of Delhi have been hard hit
by spiraling prices of essential commodities, especially food items. The
corruption and scams have exposed the real face of Congress rule and the people
of Delhi are
going to tolerate no more. They will respond on December 4 and give a fitting
reply to the Delhi Chief Minister for her omissions and commissions.
